Privacy
This site is used by school students, so it is written to be read by one — and by a parent or teacher. Last updated 23 August 2026.
The short version
There are no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask your name, your school, your email, your phone number or your age. We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not advertise to you.
Two things do leave your device when you ask something: the question itself, and a photograph if you send one. Both go to the company whose model writes the answer. Neither is kept by us afterwards.
When you ask a question
Your question — whether you typed it, picked it from a chapter list, or photographed it — is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the reply. Along with it we send the class, subject and chapter you selected, so the answer is pitched correctly.
We do not store your question. It is not written to any database or file on our side; it exists only for as long as it takes to answer you, and it is gone when you close the page. We cannot look up what you asked, and neither can anyone else through us.
What Anthropic does with it while answering is governed by Anthropic’s privacy policy, not this one.
Photographs
If you photograph a question, the picture is made smaller on your own device before it is sent — nothing full-size ever leaves your phone. It then travels the same path as a typed question: to Anthropic, to be read, and not stored by us.
Photograph the question, not yourself or anyone else. A picture of a page can accidentally catch a name on a cover, a classmate, or a room. The tutor is instructed to read only the question and to ignore everything else in the frame — but the safest thing is not to put it in the picture at all.
What is kept in your browser
One thing: the class you picked, so you do not have to choose it every visit. It is stored by your own browser on your own device, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. There are no cookies on this site.
Counting visits
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, so we know which parts of the site are used. It is cookieless and stores no identifier for you: it cannot follow you between visits, between sites, or build any profile of you. We can see that a page was opened. We cannot see who opened it.
Your IP address
When you ask a question, your IP address is held in the server’s memory for about a minute, purely to stop one person sending hundreds of questions and running up the bill. It is not written to disk, not put in a database, and not used to identify you. It disappears on its own.
Separately, our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs of requests, as every web host does. If something goes wrong while answering, the error is written to those logs so it can be fixed.
Who else is involved
- Anthropic — writes the answers. Receives your question and any photograph.
- Vercel — hosts the site and counts page views.
- NCERT — every chapter PDF you open is downloaded from ncert.nic.in, their site, not ours. Once you follow that link you are on their site and their terms apply.
If you are under 18
Most people using this site are. That is who it is for. Because of that we deliberately collect as little as possible: no account, no name, no email, no tracking that follows you around, and no advertising of any kind.
Do not type anything into the box that identifies you or anybody else — not your name, not your school, not where you live, not a phone number. You never need to, and the tutor is instructed never to ask. If you are worried about something that is not homework, please talk to a parent, a teacher, or another adult you trust rather than to this site. In India you can also call Childline on 1098 or Tele-MANAS on 14416, free, at any hour.
